Mid-Level Cloud Security Engineer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Mid-Level Cloud Security Engineer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Banking clients in Auburn Hills, MI or Frisco, TX. Hybrid schedule 2x weekly on-site

Responsibilities :

• Design and implement patterns of cloud access and cloud security boundaries that securely protect the enterprise
• Build and test monitoring rules
• Influence and align the organization's vision and strategy, while engaging our teams to develop and deliver specific, multi-year roadmaps, programs, and project
• Manage cloud networking and security (Firewalls, NSG's, ASG's, WAF's) and monitor the logging of systems

Required Skills :

• Broad understanding of AWS or Azure security fundamentals, particularly cloud IAM
• 5 years work experience securing enterprise-scale infrastructure software and services
• Experience collaborating with product teams to understand their business needs and designing appropriate cloud security solutions to address them.
• Pragmatic approach by engaging transparently with the nuances and tradeoffs of security risk
• Experience defining insightful metrics to guide our cloud security posture or progress
• Experience implementing and administering/managing technical solutions in major, large-scale system implementations
• Experience remediating infrastructure security gaps across broad corporate boundaries using influence and relationships
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately
