Oracle Database Engineer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Oracle Database Engineer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Alpharetta, GA .

Required Skills:

• Minimum 15 Years proven experience as an Oracle database engineer/DBA with extensive SQL performance tuning expertise.
• Very thorough and clear understanding of Oracle Database Architecture - including Oracle multi-tenancy architecture.
• Extensive knowledge and solid troubleshooting experience in: RAC, ASM, Active Data Guard technologies.
• Extensive knowledge in RAC Database Performance and SQL tuning.
• Strong understanding of best practices in maintaining medium to large scale Oracle database systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting various installation and Oracle RAC and database patching issues.
• Experience with Golden Gate.
• Ability to work under pressure - quick thinking and remaining calm during stressful situations.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical issues.
• Appetite to learn new technologies and constantly improve technical skills.
