Software Engineer (Python)

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Software Engineer (Python) for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Regulatory clients in Rockville, MD .
*Hybrid Role - 2x a week on-site in Rockville, MD*

• 5-7 years of experience in software development with a focus on Python and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and scripting.
• Experience working with AWS Services for cloud computing and data processing.
• Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Redshift, Snowflake).
• Proficiency in using Git for source control and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL pipelines, and performance tuning is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
