Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is seeking a Software EOL Program Manager for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial clients in lower Manhattan, NY. This will be a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days onsite.
The ideal candidate will have leadership experience driving large-scale application risk remediation efforts, particularly those related to infrastructure End of Life (EOL) and/or vulnerabilities. He or she will lead the remediation and optimization of EOL software, infrastructure, and vulnerability risk exposures across the US technology estate.

He or she will lead the remediation and optimization of EOL software, infrastructure, and vulnerability risk exposures across the US technology estate.
Responsibilities:
- Driving remediation execution across in-scope end-of-life technology assets (EOLTA) to drive an overall reduction in risk exposure for the US.
- Act in an oversight / advisory capacity but dive into details when necessary.
- Drive project management initiatives related to software EOL and vulnerability remediation, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.
- Own, Track, and report status and other key metrics (e.g., KRIs) to senior-level IT Executives
- Establish IT governance frameworks to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project progress, address risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Escalate when necessary
- Support audits and regulatory requirements related to software compliance.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated program management skills, with a track record of delivering complex IT initiatives on time and within scope.
- Prior technical and/or engineering experience in software development or infrastructure teams.
- Experience in IT Change & Transformation and/or Technology Architecture.
- SME in software lifecycle management, software asset management, technology asset management, or End of Life (EOL) initiatives.
- Proven experience in Vulnerability Management.
- Ability to take ownership of the program delivery for each in-scope EOLTA (e.g., software running on servers and desktops)
- Strong knowledge of IT governance principles and best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Experience working with IT executives and/or their delegates to affect change.
- Experience working in medium-to-large investment banks/capital market-related firms or equivalent.
- Experience with Agile Methodology and running related ceremonies
- Familiarity with Cloud native and DevSecOps practices
- Strong due diligence skills and attention to detail (e.g., comprehensive plan for each technology that falls under the end-of-life umbrella)
- Multi-tasking as well as the ability to deal effectively at all levels including with senior/executive committee levels.
- Articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with an energetic, charismatic, and approachable style.
- Ability to influence, guide and escalate with senior stakeholders.
- Strong drive/determination, prioritization skills, and time management
