Responsibilities :
- You will play a critical role in designing, developing and optimizing firm's data infrastructure to support liquidity risk management, regulatory reporting and financial forecasting.
- We are looking for a proactive, motivated self-starter with strong attention to technical detail who can take initiative, adapt and take lead on various projects simultaneously (i.e. Risk Board Reporting, Resolution and Recovery Planning, Liquidity FR2052A reporting, Cashflows etc.).
- Our team works in an agile way to deliver scalable data solutions that integrate liquidity and financial data across multiple technology systems to ensure compliance with Consent Orders (CO), Matters Requiring Attention (MRA) and regulatory expectations.
- In this role, execution oversight and support will be a firm requirement for areas of work including and not limited to data integration and pipeline development, development and ownership of end-to-end data lineage flows, remediation of data quality concerns, process optimization and automation opportunities, stakeholder management and overall ability to collaborate and lead a new growing team. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with firm policies and protocols.
- Assess risk when business decisions are made and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Ensure project documentation is up to date for Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, Architecture Flows, Test Use Cases are maintained for all projects
- Contribute to technical and functional direction and strategic discussions in all development and implementation phases, providing in-depth and sophisticated analyses to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Maintain awareness of business, technical, and infrastructure issues and acts as a sounding board or consultant to aid in the development of creative solutions.
- Communicate architecture, strategy, planning, and problem-solving solutions on an enterprise level both written and verbal
- Review data models to be onboarded or enhanced and ensure that defined standards are followed and that models are capable of handling current and future expectations.
- Lead impact analysis and coordinated UAT/PROD efforts for changes to existing systems/data flows for downstream consumers and plan changes accordingly.
- Interface across several channels, acting as a visionary to proactively assist in defining direction for future projects
- Develop metadata driven frameworks for data processing/transformation and build real-time processing solutions for regulatory initiatives
- Identify and apply optimization techniques to improve technology performance
- Provide thought leadership in subjects that are key to the business.
- Deliver senior-level technical consulting and mentoring during design and development for highly complex and critical data projects
- Collaborate team, vendors and business stakeholders to align work efforts, develop and execute strategic and tactical plans that enable successful upgrade
- Execute SQL/Python data analysis and writing complex logics using analytical functions to help business users where required
- Accountable for end-to-end results including such items as: budgeting, policy formulation as well as providing future state technology strategies for an effort.
- 6-10 years relevant experience on implementing and leading data engineering solutions for large scale initiatives and well-versed to manage large and global teams in areas related to:
- IT Projects Design and Development
- Enterprise Architecture
- Data & Database Architecture
- Project Management
- Software Development Life Cycle
- Technical: SQL, Python, Kafka, Cloud, Oracle, Hive, Impala, Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio ), JIRA, Confluence
- Strong foundation of Capital Markets (Equities and respective Derivatives, Fixed Income, Commodities), Wholesale Banking, Treasury Functions, Financial Reporting, Risk Management
- Knowledge of technology solutions in one or more of the functional areas is preferable - Banking or Trading Book products
- Data modeling experience in a financial services environment (preferably Enterprise Data Warehouse Model)
- Excellent written and verbal communication to various stakeholders (i.e. presentation and leadership)
- Ability to prioritize important tasks and manage time efficiently to ensure timely delivery of regulatory requests
- Well-versed experience in Program or Project Management
- Ability to develop and foster working relationships with key Business stakeholders
- Manage changing priorities under high pressure environment
