Responsibilities
The Business Analyst/Process Analyst is responsible for working closely with product owners, the platform architect, and as a member of scrum teams. The role is focused on eliciting, documenting, and analyzing business processes and requirements; supporting developers; and testing new functionality. This position is responsible for the following:
- Defines and documents customer business functions and processes.
- Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
- Tracks and documents change to business and functional specifications; writes detailed procedures for use in user guides and training.
- Identifies opportunities for improving business processes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.
- Researches and prepares statistical reports. Consolidates information into cohesive form for use in management decision-making.
- Leads functional testing, participates in system integration testing, and supports user acceptance testing.
- Provides technical assistance in training.
- Ensures that customer goals and requirements are met.
- Escalates issues to management as appropriate.
- Assists in the development of standard documentation, layouts, templates, and terminology.
- Requirements facilitation and documentation experience Required 5 Years
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Visio) Required 5 Years
- Experience in agile software development projects Required 3 Years
- Business or technical consulting experience Required 3 Years
- ServiceNow Platform experience Highly desired
