What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Field Support Technician position at Software People?
Phone/Skype Hire. Onsite from day 1. Regional travel is required.
Location: Baton Rouge ( and regional travel includes parishes surrounding Shreveport, Lake Charles, New Orleans, Alexandria, Baton Rouge and more. 120 miles one way )
Duration: 12 months
Responsibilities
- Responsible for advanced field support including desktop reimaging and deployment of new end user devices with Windows 10 operating systems.
- Responsible for basic field support hardware and software device support including troubleshooting, hardware replacement, applying prebuilt image packages.
- Responsible for remote software and device support and problem resolution, which includes advanced troubleshooting, installation and configuration.
Skills Needed
- Active Directory Domain Services
- Windows Imaging and Driver Management
- User Profile analysis and migration
- Customer Service Skills
- Advanced troubleshooting with basic hardware and software components
- Experience in deployments with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
- Desktop and Mobile Device imaging and user transition
- Third party software to be migrated and handled on a case-by-case basis
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
