Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Plan and execute audits adhering strictly to auditing standards to ensure precision and compliance.
Develop and sustain robust client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact where appropriate, to foster trust and collaboration.
Identify operational and financial risks and opportunities for improvement, presenting these findings clearly and efficiently to stakeholders.
Ensure timely communication of audit status and results, engaging clients throughout the audit process to maintain transparency.
Complete all assigned projects within set timelines to uphold firm standards and client expectations.
Travel to client sites as required, ensuring a hands-on approach to understanding client operations and environments.
Engage actively in professional development opportunities and firm activities to enhance expertise and firm culture.
Minimum Position Qualifications :
A demonstrated passion for serving nonprofit organizations, with a client-first mindset.
Solid foundation in public accounting with a minimum of 5 years in an audit-focused role.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
Current CPA certification or demonstrable progress towards achieving it.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex issues succinctly and effectively.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience leading audit teams and managing junior staff.
Strong familiarity with auditing standards and changes specific to the nonprofit sector.
Strategic thinking abilities with a track record in implementing audit process improvements.
Advanced credentials such as a Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration are highly regarded.
Experience with audit software and proficiency in MS Office or equivalent applications.
