Senior Principal DSP Software Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Conceptualize, design, and model advanced signal processing algorithms for integrated hardware / software systems.
Evaluate performance metrics of signal processing solutions to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Execute full lifecycle software development with a focus on C / C in Unix / Linux environments.
Implement and optimize algorithms on GPUs to enhance processing speed and functionality.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to innovate and solve high-impact problems seamlessly.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in DSP technologies and integrate innovations into practical applications.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Minimum Position Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Digital Signal Processing, Communication Theory, or Wireless Communications.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a Master’s degree.
Proven expertise in C / C software development within Unix / Linux operating systems.
Experience with software development tools such as IDEs, version control systems, and defect tracking tools.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense TS / SCI security clearance within a reasonable timeframe from date of hire.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing projects that impact diverse engineering functions.
Preferred Qualifications :
Existing Department of Defense TS / SCI security clearance.
Advanced degrees (MS or PhD) relevant to DSP or related fields.
Prior experience in defense, aerospace, or closely related industries.
Knowledge of machine learning techniques applied to signal processing.
Experience in performance tuning and memory optimization of GPUs.
Skills :
