In this role, you will serve as a key bridge between technical and business stakeholders, owning the full lifecycle of data product instrumentation initiatives from discovery, implementation, and maintenance.

The Data Solutions & Instrumentation (DSI) team at Streaming is seeking a collaborative and proactive Senior Product Manager to drive the development and implementation of world-class data collection solutions. In this role, you will serve as a key bridge between technical and business stakeholders, owning the full lifecycle of data product instrumentation initiatives from discovery, implementation, and maintenance.
Working within the Entertainment & Technology organization, you will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Analytics teams to define and manage our data collection strategy. Your strong communication skills and technical acumen will be essential in translating business requirements into actionable technical specifications while ensuring high-quality implementation across web, mobile, and connected device applications.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of data collection and analytics at one of the world's leading streaming platforms. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills to drive successful outcomes through collaboration and proactive project management.
As a Senior Product Manager on the DSI team, you will:
Lead end-to-end project ownership of data collection initiatives, including:
• Conducting thorough discovery to understand existing instrumentation, stakeholder requirements, and technical constraints
• Developing comprehensive technical specifications and acceptance criteria
• Managing implementation through close collaboration with engineering teams
• Overseeing testing, validation, and other pre-launch processes
• Maintaining and monitoring instrumentation solutions post-launch
Drive excellence in documentation and communication by:
• Creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation for our evolving data products
• Translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences across the company
• Facilitating cross-functional collaboration between Analytics, Product, and Engineering
• Proactively identifying and resolving implementation challenges through clear communication
Ensure data quality and technical implementation by:
• Developing and executing data validation with stakeholder-facing Databricks dashboards
• Reviewing analytics implementations using HTTP debugging proxies across devices
• Managing version control and code documentation using Git
• Contributing to data quality monitoring and schema validation processes
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years of data product management experience
• Proactive collaborator, capable of initiating and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and driving alignment across teams
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to:
o Translate stakeholder needs into technical specifications
o Lead cross-functional discussions
o Present complex information to diverse audiences, demonstrating the ability to adapt communication style from detailed technical specifications for engineering teams to executive summaries that focus on business impact and key insights
• Proven track record partnering with business and engineering teams to design instrumentation solutions, manage data collection schemas, or architect enterprise digital measurement projects from inception to launch
• High-level of comfort building a roadmap and working within an agile, Jira-driven operating model
• Demonstratable analytical & problem-solving skills with ability to balance various priorities
• Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience in:
o Analyzing data with SQL
o Databricks (or similar) data warehousing and querying environments
o HTTP Debugging Tools (Proxyman, Charles, Fiddler, Chrome Dev Tools, etc)
o Git version control
Preferred Qualifications:
• Deep expertise in enterprise digital analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Braze) with demonstrated experience in their implementation and optimization
• Strong track record in data product management, particularly in developing and launching solutions for user journey analytics, customer behavior tracking, or similar measurement initiatives
• Experience working with product teams to define KPIs, measurement frameworks, and data collection strategies that drive business value
• Previous success in leading cross-functional data initiatives at scale, particularly in enterprise environments
