We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a 3 year W2 contract with a hybrid schedule (2-3 days/week onsite in Lexington, MA).
This role requires at least 2 years of experience in DoD, cybersecurity, or government organizations and the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
As a Project Manager, you will lead high-visibility, complex cybersecurity projects, collaborating across departments to ensure successful execution. You will be responsible for project planning, risk management, reporting, and operationalization while adhering to Strategic Project Management Office (SPMO) methodologies. Strong skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint for executive reporting are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute multiple high-risk, high-visibility cybersecurity projects in collaboration with various departments.
- Develop and maintain project charters, plans, risk logs, issue logs, and communication strategies.
- Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide regular project status reports to stakeholders, department projects management, and senior leadership.
- Implement proactive risk management strategies and drive teams toward risk mitigation.
- Guide teams in project feasibility assessments, business case development, and resource planning.
- Ensure effective project close-out and operationalization plans for long-term sustainability.
- Develop qualitative and quantitative success measures to evaluate project effectiveness.
- Build and maintain relationships in a matrixed environment, following SPMO best practices and project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.).
- Collaborate with SSD Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Information Services Department (ISD), and other teams to implement continuous improvement models.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP certification
- Experience in change management and business analysis
