Pet Groomer and Kennel help

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer and a Kennel Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide high-quality grooming services to pets of all breeds and sizes. This role requires a combination of technical grooming skills, animal handling expertise, and excellent customer service abilities. All Kennel attendants will be also have the same qualifications except the grooming skills, training could be a possibility for the right candidate.

Duties

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and nail trimming for dogs and cats.
• Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
• Handle pets safely and comfortably during grooming sessions,boarding stays and ensure their well-being.
• Maintain cleanliness of the grooming/kennal area and equipment to ensure a safe environment for pets.
• Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming or mental stay.
• Provide additional services such as pet sitting or dog training as needed.
• Assist in animal restraint when necessary to ensure safety during grooming procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pet grooming is preferred; certification in pet grooming is a plus! At least ONE year of grooming experience is required!!
• Strong skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and general veterinary knowledge are beneficial.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling large or heavy pets.
• Experience with pet sitting, kennel attendant or working as a veterinary assistant is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor towards both pets and their owners are essential.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing exceptional care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
