What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pet Care Specialist position at Soggy Dog Suites?
We are seeking Pet Care Specialists to help care for dogs of all breeds and sizes. Position includes exercising, feeding, administering medications and cleaning up after dogs, both indoors and outside, per procedure guidelines for facility cleanliness. Prior experience caring for dogs, whether professionally or not, is crucial for this position. You also need to be physically able to keep up with our active guests.
Basic Responsibilities
- Clean suites, common areas, equipment
- Play with and exercise dogs
- Feed and water guests on set schedule
- Administer medications
- Take dogs to playground on set schedule for playtime and "outside" breaks
- Use computer-based software to complete variety of Operational Reports
- Provide customer service to guests
Requirements and Qualifications
- Applicants must be 18 years or older; high school diploma or GED certificate is preferred
- Experience working with animals; boarding or daycare experience preferred
- Physical stamina: Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and climb as well as lift, carry, move up to 50 pounds
- Endure sitting, standing and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work in noisy work conditions
- WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS ARE REQUIRED
- Knowledge of computers and ability to understand reporting procedures
- Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to perform the essential functions, duties and responsibilities of the position successfully

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
