What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Design Engineer position at SOHA Engineers?
SOHA Structural Engineers is accepting applications for an in-person Structural Design Engineer position to join our team in San Francisco. We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of 2 years experience in design engineering of buildings and structures utilizing one or more of the following construction materials : concrete, steel, masonry and wood (basic fundamentals of wood design as a minimum). Responsibilities
- Structural analysis, design and basic detailing for various types of buildings and materials using applicable building codes.
- Coordination of design work with in-house staff as well as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines
- Assist in preparation of the construction documents and other discipline’s coordination.
- Effectively communicate with the Principal-In Charge, Project Manager and Engineer, and other design team members.
- Sufficient knowledge and proficiency with basic engineering software.
