Opportunity
We’re looking for a new team member to join our family-oriented, flexible work environment. As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating a printing press in a safe manner and achieves maximum output while ensuring a quality product.
What we offer:
- This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday-Friday 5:00 AM-1:00 PM.
- Pay will be determined based on experience, starting at $20.00 per hour - increase potential at 60 day and 120 day review.

Primary Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities of a die cutting machine operator:
- Machine setup:
- Selecting and installing the correct die based on job specifications.
- Using the correct cores for finished rolls
- Adjusting machine settings like feed speed, pressure, and cutting depth.
- Aligning material feed guides and registration points.
Operation:
- Feeding materials into the machine according to production requirements.
- Monitoring machine operation, identifying and addressing potential issues.( registration, roll separation, correct footage count, proper ink lay down and color variation)
- Performing quality checks on cut pieces to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Maintenance:
- Performing basic cleaning and lubrication of the machine
- Identifying and reporting any mechanical faults or malfunctions
- Performing minor adjustments to the die as needed
Documentation:
- Maintaining production records, including roll counts and scrap rates
- Completing necessary paperwork and quality control documentation
Required skills and abilities:
- Mechanical aptitude: Understanding how die cutting machines operate and ability to troubleshoot basic issues
- Attention to detail: Ensuring precise cuts and maintaining quality standards throughout the production run
- Reading job sheets: Understanding job specifications and die layouts
- Physical stamina: Ability to lift and handle materials, especially in high-volume production environments up to 50 lbs
- Basic math skills: Calculating production quantities and monitoring scrap rates
Work environment:
- Manufacturing facility with industrial machinery
- Exposure to noise from the die cutting machine
- Moving mechanical parts
- May require working on different shifts depending on production needs with occasional weekend hours
PPE requirements:
- Must wear safety glasses at all times when on production floor
- Must wear steel toe shoes
