Position summary:
The Salesforce CPQ Administrator will take our CPQ business requirements and translate them to technical requirements as well as tackle small/medium CPQ projects with the support of the CPQ Solution Architect. They will represent the marriage between the Business and SFDC / CPQ Administrators. The CPQ Admin will work with the CPQ Architect/Administrator and the SFDC Architect/Administrator on solution design reviews, sprint planning, and identifying potential technical roadblocks. A successful candidate will be familiar with CPQ from both the user and basic administration perspective, including CPQ configurations, product setup, quoting process, price rules, product rules, etc. They will also be proficient in Salesforce Administration (user management, field creation/mapping, reporting, flows, etc.). The CPQ Admin should have enough hands-on knowledge to understand the technical details of projects and communicate effectively with our team. This position is part of the Salesforce team that supports Sojern’s business operations for all teams, including Sales, Client Success, Operations, Product Management, Legal, Finance, and general end-users, to ensure the system meets business process requirements and keeps pace with changes in operational policies and/or procedures.
What you will do:
- Define technical requirements using the business requirements for incoming Salesforce CPQ project requests.
- Manage small to medium CPQ projects with the support of the CPQ Solution Architect.
- Develop project plans and user stories incoming project requests to hand off to SFDC Architect/Administrator and CPQ Architect/Administrator for execution.
- Participate in project development to represent a marriage between Business and SFDC/CPQ Administrators.
- Represent SME knowledge of our SFDC platform to further guide business into needs.
- Translate business solution needs into technical requirements for the Salesforce team to action.
- Develop release documentation with new Salesforce releases.
- Represent SME knowledge for our CPQ system to assist our CPQ architect/administrator with development and design.
- Create and develop CPQ platform vision with CPQ architect/administrator so we are developing with the future in mind.
- Own SFDC Support cases as Tier 2 triage support- coordinate with our Tier 1 SFDC Administrator to mitigate increased case volume.
- Own large scale project management of SFDC solutions and ensure all user stories are properly closed out.
- Partner with Business to define needs and plan ahead with our roadmap submission process.
What you bring to the table:
- Salesforce CPQ administration hands-on experience required 1 years
- Salesforce administration experience required 3 years
- Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist certification (CPQ 301) - preferred but not essential
- Sales Cloud and Service Cloud experience
- Experience with Agile methodologies required.
- Advanced Excel knowledge- including vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
- Experience with document generation tools such as Conga Composer and E-sign tools like Adobe Sign
- Excellent project management skills and high organizational skills.
