Child Care Assistant

SUMMARY

The Child Care Assistant provides assistance to the Child Development Specialist in the delivery of child-focused services at a ?women with children? residential program. This position is required to meet quality assurance standards, licensing, credentialing and regulatory compliance, and achieving program outcome goals as applicable. Required to participate in flexible programming.

Expected to perform all duties as assigned by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Implements and maintains the program?s philosophy, principles and procedures in all facets of performance.

A Childhood Programming

• Assist staff with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.

• Maintain daily, appropriate communications with patent

• Maintain confidentiality

• Report any suspect abuse to supervisor

• Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment

• Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy

• Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials.

• Attend in-service and staff trainings

• Keep all appropriate records such as attendance and time sheets as required

• Meet all appropriate licensing regulations

• Maintain cleanliness of the Children?s Center and outside play yard.
