What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst, Inventory Control position at Sol de Janeiro?
We are looking for someone who loves operations, gets excited about problem solving with various cross functional teams, and is passionate about building relationships.
The position will report to the Manager, Inventory Control and Master Data and will partner with various stakeholders to support our inventory needs, including but not limited to the planning teams, finance, warehousing and contract manufacturers. An Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for managing the real time accuracy of the company's inventory levels. This includes monitoring receiving reports and actioning the physical receipts in our system. Additionally, this person may use software systems to track inventory, generate reports, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee procedures to maintain and optimize inventory control in NetSuite, including:
o Maintaining accurate inventory counts at warehouses, suppliers, and consignment locations
o Investigating and resolving inconsistencies or negative inventory levels
o Regularly auditing inventory counts across all locations and adjusting both counts and processes to improve future inventory accuracy
o Researching and implementing industry best practices - Day to Day Execution of Systematic Transactions
o Completing Goods Receipts for Finished Goods into 3PL’s
o Completing Component Receipts at CM Locations - Track defined KPI’s in the following areas
o Receiving accuracy
o Monthly inventory reconciliation variances - Support and execute end of month inventory processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 1-3 years of work experience required
- NetSuite experience preferred
- Experience in Manufacturing and/or the Supply Chain preferred
- Experience within the beauty, luxury, cosmetics, or fragrances industry a plus
- Solid leadership skills with the ability to problem solve through unexpected situations
- Detail-oriented with the ability to set up standard procedures and keep meticulous records
- A proactive team player who thrives in a goal-oriented, dynamic, ever-changing, fast-paced work environment while juggling multiple priorities
- Clear communication skills; able to explain and gain support for inventory process and best practice
- Highly skilled in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and web-based applications
