SOL Engineering Services, LLC is searching for an Engineering Technician III with a strong background as a heavy equipment operator and experience with instrumentation systems to conduct surveys.
Requirements
- Must be certified to operate heavy equipment such as a: dozer, track hoe, excavator, forklift, graders, and front loaders
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Able to pass a background investigation (financial and criminal)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with instrumentation systems and the ability to conduct detailed surveys
- Ability to emplace, spread, and compact soil
- Perform fine grading and retrograde the area
- Examine site conditions and conduct soil analyses
- Obtain measurements of soil cross sections and input into electronic format
- Document results via photographs, physical survey, and/or in a field book
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Presentation skills
- Apply basic analytical skills, scientific methods, or operational processes to perform tasks
- Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
- Work will be performed outside
- Minimal travel required
Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related technical field
- Two years related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of three years of heavy equipment operating heavy equipment
- Crane operator license and/or experience is preferred
