This integral role involves overseeing daily quality control operations on federal construction projects, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Quality Control Plan in alignment with the Army Corps’ Three Phases of Control.
- Collaborate with project teams to guarantee compliance of all submittals with contractual obligations.
- Review construction plans and specifications to confirm that all requirements are fulfilled.
- Deliver documented evaluations and provide quality assurance guidance to staff and subcontractors.
- Disseminate written inspection and test results to relevant agencies.
- Ensure effective preventive and corrective actions are executed to eliminate or minimize issues.
- Conduct pre-final inspections, establish punch lists as necessary, and coordinate final inspections with government contracting and contractor personnel.
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes and practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- General understanding of construction divisions and principles.
- Familiarity with construction documentation, procedures, and scheduling.
- Proficient in conducting inspections and evaluating submittals.
- Ability to perform pre-final and final inspections effectively.
- OSHA 30 and CPR First Aid Training Certification (or ability to obtain).
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or a related field is preferred, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant Quality Management experience.
- Knowledge of construction principles and practices is essential.
- Certification in Total Construction Quality Management for Contractors from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is required or must be acquired before employment.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
- U.S. Citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain security clearance and pass a drug test.
