Summary

At Sol Source, we believe that a smooth installation process and great customer experience starts with a well done Site Survey. Anyone can go out and take measurements and the required pictures but can you help plan how the install will go from that point? Can you provide the level of Customer Service needed to truly understand what the customer wants from their solar experience and bring all of that information back to the team so we can deliver exactly that expectation to the customer through design, installation, and inspection?

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years previous job related experience, however the lack thereof does not preclude a candidate from applying, as all necessary training will be provided upon hiring.

This position requires daily travel to job sites throughout Southern California and we provide a company vehicle for this to be done. It will be the employee's responsibility to maintain a responsible driving record and report to the office at the start of the day. Company vehicle will be used for company business only and will not be taken home (some exceptions apply).

Responsibilities

  • Performs site survey appointments as scheduled, collecting site information and preparing deliverable packages for back office and field teams
  • Provides detailed information regarding structural and electrical systems
  • Provides detailed roof quality information and measurements
  • Takes and captures clear photos of site survey deliverables
  • Use software systems to record progress of various tasks in a timely manner
  • Prepare the site for a final inspection identifying any potential issue that could cause inspection to FAIL, make corrections with urgency to PASS
  • Painting Conduit as needed
  • Small maintenance work such as fixing hanging wires or swapping breakers

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must be a motivated team player, looking to succeed, commitment is required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to hear verbal commands and warnings
  • Ability to interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently)
  • Ability to work within the safe range of equipment such as ladders and personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work and maintain balance on roofs and other areas of height
  • Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance
  • Ability to walk on rafters, roof tiles, and roof shingles without damage
  • Ability to frequently utilize hand functions requiring fine motor skills including but not limited to: fine manipulation, grasping, and pinching
  • Ability to work in the sun and possibly low light conditions
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
