As a Paratransit Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring passengers reach their destinations safely and comfortably. This role requires patience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to treating every passenger with dignity and respect. You will assist individuals who may require additional support due to age, disability, or medical conditions, making a direct impact on their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport passengers to and from appointments, medical facilities, and other destinations.
- Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and securing mobility equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and scooters.
- Properly secure passengers and equipment in accordance with safety protocols and ADA guidelines.
- Collect and manage boarding fares accurately while maintaining proper documentation.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any maintenance concerns.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch to receive trip assignments, schedule updates, and any necessary route changes.
- Follow all company policies, local traffic laws, and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of passengers and the public.
- Be available for overtime or flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in paratransit, medical transport, or a similar role (preferred but not required).
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient and caring attitude.
- The ability to push, or pull when assisting passengers.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
- The ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and DOT physical exam.

Schedule:
- Service is provided Monday through Friday, including morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.
- Overtime may be required, at times, with no schedule restrictions.
