Home Health Care Aide

Job Summary
The Home Health Care Aide plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their homes or assisted living facilities. This position involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care and a strong understanding of the needs of individuals with varying health conditions, including dementia.

Duties

• Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed to ensure the health and safety of clients.
• Assist clients with mobility and lifting as required to promote independence while ensuring safety.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including specialized care for those with dementia or other long-term conditions.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client progress and any concerns.

Requirements

• Previous experience in senior care or home health is preferred.
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic medical documentation practices.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of client information.
• Experience in dementia care or long-term care settings is a plus.
• Ability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Reliable transportation for travel between client homes or facilities as needed.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.

Pay: $18.25 - $27.50 per hour
