Description
Solano Community College invites applications of interested and qualified clinical instructors to teach. This position is a part-time position. The teaching assignment may require teaching clinical and / or lecture-discussion courses during the day, evening, or on weekends, and / or in an on-line / distance education format. The assignments are as needed, during Spring, Summer, and / or Fall semesters. Part-Time / Adjunct faculty are paid for classroom instruction hours (lecture and / or lab) only. Paid office hours may be available to adjunct faculty in fall and spring semesters in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
For your information, the District may cancel classes or change instructors as enrollment needs are determined. If this occurs, the District will notify affected parties and pay employees for actual services rendered.
During a health crisis, classes could be offered in the online format. Courses may need to be converted to the online format with short notice. Additional online instruction training will be required if courses are taught online.

Minimum Qualifications
3. At least one (1) year continuous, full-time (or its equivalent) experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last five (5) years in an acute or long-term care setting; OR teaching in an RN pre / post-licensure nursing program for a minimum of one (1) academic year in the last five (5) years.
4. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider Certification for Healthcare Providers
