THE POSITION
Dentists provide dental services to patients at various County clinics. This class is distinguished from the class of Dentist Manager in that the latter manages the County-wide dental health program.
The eligible list established from this recruitment will be used to fill full-time and part-time regular, limited-term or extra-help positions as vacancies occur or the need arises.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSEducation/Experience: Considerable experience in dentistry coupled with additional experience and education or training in public health services which demonstrates possession of requisite knowledge, competency, and ability. Typical qualifying experience would be:
- One year experience in the practice of dentistry in a public agency or private practice.
Licensure:
- Possession of a valid and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of California issued by the Board of Dental Examiners.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Class C California Driver’s License may be required.
