What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development Delay Community Preschool Instructor 25-26 SY position at Solano Elementary School?
SUMMARY: Plan, develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for preschool children. Enable the student to experience activities which will promote social, emotional, cognitive and academic growth.

- Plan and facilitate early childhood experiences which are comprehensive and culturally appropriate using established curriculum
- Develop and deliver weekly lesson plans in accordance with the prescribed curriculum
- Administer formal and informal assessments to monitor student progress; record assessment information in accordance with reporting standards
- Demonstrate appropriate interaction with students with warmth and caring through positive behavior interventions
- Provide constant supervision during all activities including instructional activities, meal time, hand washing, teeth brushing and playground activities
- Continue professional development by taking academic coursework and training directly related to the requirements of the position
- Maintain open and on-going communication with families and staff
Knowledge of:
- Early childhood education issues, policies and practices including Arizona Child Care Licensing, Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS) and Quality First
- Effective communication verbally and in writing.
- Preschool curriculum and assessment
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of Associate Degree (AA) in Early Childhood with a readiness to continue onto a BA degree and ECE Certification
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Arizona Level One Fingerprint Card
- Tdap/MMR immunization Certificate
- TB Screening
- Bi-lingual/bi-literate skills preferred (English-Spanish)
- Participates in professional development trainings
