Salary : $104,436.80- $126,963.20 / annually
The Assistant Engineer supports the design, construction, and maintenance of water systems that serve agricultural and municipal stakeholders. This position combines office and fieldwork, focusing on tasks such as project management, field coordination, hydraulic and structural calculations, AutoCAD design, surveying, and ensuring compliance with legal and environmental standards.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in civil engineering, experience with hydraulic calculations and construction inspection, and proficiency in AutoCAD. Strong communication skills are important for collaborating with landowners, developers, contractors, and agencies to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications
Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates possession of the required knowledge and abilities, as well as the capability to perform the duties of the position. A typical qualifying entrance background is :
- Education : Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience : Two (2) years of increasingly responsible and diversified experience in civil engineering in the field, office work, and construction inspection
- Skills :
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in the State of California is required.
