Seeking an associate with 4 years general experience in sophisticated commercial litigation for our New Jersey office. NJ bar is required. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including tribal law regulations and immigration law.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain legal processes and provide updates on case status.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all documentation is organized and accessible.
Skills
- Strong understanding of estate planning, family law, environmental law, patent law, and immigration law.
- Proficiency in legal drafting and litigation processes.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Familiarity with tribal law regulations is a plus.
- Exceptional research skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
