POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a qualified Controller to join our innovative administrative team. The Controller will be responsible for:
- Coordinating Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Cash Management, Equipment and Job Cost functions and standard protocols.
- Supervising and leading the office staff team members.
- Developing and maintaining cross-training practices to cover all office functions.
- Reviewing accounting procedures to provide the maximum efficiency and accuracy of transactions.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements and presenting to the management team.
- Preparing and reviewing work papers and entries for month end close, sales tax reporting and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Performing financial analysis to identify and recommend operating efficiencies to management.
- Ensuring customers are provided with timely and accurate invoicing and assistance.
- Working with the ERP system (construction software package Viewpoint) to provide information for the business to operate efficiently.
- Working closely with the management on contract and subcontract administration.
- Working with Human Resources in payroll processing and payroll tax filings.
- Work on special projects and prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as needed.

- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing a team.
- Experience in preparation of financial statements.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
