We are currently experiencing explosive growth and are looking to add aCommercial Solar Project Manager to our team in Laurel, MD. This role will report to the office daily.

Job Summary
Responsible for managing multiple simultaneous small to mid-sized commercial solar and storage construction projects through entire project lifecycle (inception, design, permitting, construction, testing, interconnection, and PTO). Act as a liaison with appropriate company personnel and vendors to ensure project compliance to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company quality and safety standards. Coordinate multiple complex high priority tasks. Assure feature and functionality and performance metrics requirements are defined. Initiate, facilitate and monitor project progress and performance to assure quality and on time delivery. Ensure milestone dates are met. Monitor risks during various stages of the project and escalate issues to the appropriate level of management. Maintain project status reports on projects. Create and manage contingency plans for projects. Estimate and manage budgets. Evaluate impact change request against communicated timelines. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination, scoping, and refinement of the final system design.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractors, to ensure project requirements are met.
- Create and track end to end project plan.
- Track tasks and milestones across all parties, including vendors.
- Oversee all aspects of solar project construction, including permitting, interconnection, and system installation.
- Lead internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to execute projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to project plans.
- Coordination and oversight of final commissioning activities and owner training.
- Coordinate change request generation and tracking.
- Make project scheduling decisions in conjunction with the and facilitate conversations as necessary for decision making.
- Report on projects progress as required by clients and management.
- Identify and manage critical path and risk areas and create risk response and mitigation plans.
- Report weekly (or as necessary) on any risks/issues.
- Escalate issues as required.
- Work with other cross functional project teams to track and manage inter-project dependencies.
- Communicate updates on major milestones, escalations and status to clients and management.
- Work with business development team and management to set project specific budget.
- Project spend rates based on the budgets.
- Manage within budgetary objectives monitoring and controlling costs within functional area.
- Ensure lessons learned are documented and implemented on subsequent projects
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
