Photovoltaic Systems Technician

The work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, with shifts lasting 8 to 10 hours, and weekends may sometimes be needed.

The location of the project work site varies throughout California.

This position involves organizing, managing, and installing electrical components for Commercial and Industrial photovoltaic service installations. This role works with our field personnel, including installation technicians, crew leads, project managers, and superintendents, to ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within high-quality standards.

Installation & Wiring

Reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings

Installing, routing, and connecting electrical wiring, conduits, and fixtures

Setting up electrical panels, circuit breakers, transformers, and control systems

Maintenance & Repair

Troubleshooting electrical issues using tools like multimeters and circuit testers

Repairing or replacing faulty wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures

Inspecting and maintaining electrical components to prevent malfunctions

Testing and calibrating systems to ensure proper functionality

Safety & Compliance

Following OSHA and NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations for electrical safety

Implementing lockout/tagout procedures to prevent electrical hazards

Ensuring proper grounding and bonding of electrical systems

Collaboration & Documentation

Coordinating with contractors, project managers, and other tradespeople

Providing estimates for electrical work and materials needed

Documenting work performed, materials used, and system upgrades
