Solar Impact is searching for a skilled Journeyman Electrician to become a valuable member of our team in Gainesville, FL. This position involves handling electrical tasks connected to the upkeep, servicing, and setup of solar power systems for residential and commercial customers.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to carry out inspections, evaluate electrical systems, and interpret blueprints effectively.
Requirements :
- Proficient in wiring, common electrical tools, and various electrical components
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program
- Minimum of 3 years of prior electrical and construction experience
- Journeyman certification strongly preferred
- Must live in the Gainesville, FL area

Responsibilities :
Demonstrate Solar Impact Core Values in all assigned dutiesFollow all Solar Impact policies and proceduresPerform installation of electrical equipment following NEC guidelinesUtilize various tools and techniques for maintaining and repairing electrical systemsEmploy expertise to determine best practices for new electrical systems installationProvide mentorship and supervision to apprentice electriciansEnsure full adherence to safety requirements and OSHA regulationsCollaborate efficiently with a team to complete solar installationsMaintain tools and components in installation vehicles in an organized mannerParticipate in safety, electrical, and solar installation training sessionsMaintain a safe and well-organized work environmentCommunicate professionally and positively with customersEvaluate completed projects for areas of improvementWork overtime, nights, weekends, travel, and meet project deadlines as neededQualifications :
To be considered for the position of Journeyman Electrician at Solar Impact in Gainesville, FL, US, a valid certification as a Journeyman Electrician or equivalent experience is required.Familiarity with the NEC is essential for this role.The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical work and construction.Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints accurately is a must.Capable of working safely at heights, including on roofs and ladders, while following Solar Impact protocols and OSHA safety regulationsA valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurability for driving company vehicles are necessary.Candidates should exhibit the ability to work both independently and as part of a team effectively.Meeting attendance requirements consistently is important for this position.Successful completion of a background / MVR check and pre-employment physical and drug screen is mandatory.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.Attention to detail in all tasks is crucial.Proficiency with computers, particularly MAC / iOS systems, is preferred.Previous experience in solar and / or roofing is a plus.OSHA 10 certification is preferredExperience as a crew lead is preferredAbout Company
