Solar States is seeking a capable and experienced Solar Installer to join our residential crew in meeting our solar pipeline in NJ and PA. Solar States was founded in 2008 and just celebrated 15 years as a leader in the solar industry. Position Responsibilities:
- Install photovoltaic (PV) systems (modules and racking) in accordance with codes and standards using and following design, drawings, and specs
- Working on residential and commercial roof tops as well as installing ground mounted systems, and other custom installations
- Pulling of inventory and knowledge of solar inventory for specific projects
- Operate general carpentry, hand, and power tools
- Perform electrical work as needed to connect solar system to electric grid
- Identify electrical, environmental and safety hazards associated with installation
- OSHA 30 qualifications (required)
- Taking photos, documenting job site, and posting photos to PM software
- Truck & Inventory understanding of solar equipment
- Manage & maintain cleanliness and organization of crew vehicle and the company warehouse
- Ensuring safety of entire crew and double-checking of all site safety equipment
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 1 year(s) of residential solar/O&M experience
