Solar Tech is seeking a committed individual, experienced in manufacturing, to join our team as a General Assembler/Finisher. This role is designed to execute the production of solar boards to produce the highest quality product.
Job Summary:
The General Assembler/Finisher operates various manufacturing equipment, build equipment per work instructions, assist in loading finishing product for shipment, and maintaining a safe work area. This position reports to the Production Supervisor/Production Manager.
Job Duties:
- Build equipment per work instructions as directed by respective Team Lead/Department Supervisor according to established standards.
- Assist in loading finished product onto trucks for shipment
- Ensure departmental equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner
- Assist in other departments when needed
- Train potential new hires to produce quality products
- Always maintain a safe work area
- Adhere to all work instructions following all quality regulations
- Adhere to established time standards for product production
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months (1 year preferred) in a manufacturing environment performing general assembly operations or sufficient skills as may be demonstrated upon interview
- Must be familiar with manufacturing assembly techniques and equipment
- Must be able to perform at a high-quality standard
- Must be able to effectively communicate with Coworkers/Team Leads, Production Supervisor, and Production Manager
- Must be able to work well with others in a potentially high stress production environment.
- Must be able to understand quality assurance processes
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day and be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to use basic hand tools
