Successful candidate will be primarily focused in one of the three Lean work Centers within the Solar Turbines production facility.
This is a 3rd Shift Position
Skills required:
- Previous experience with Sub-assembly and Rotating components are desired, as well as engine specific tooling experience.
- Overhauls, modifies, repairs, reworks, balances, machines, tests, inspects, and/or fits reworked or new parts into a gas turbine assembly or PT's in accordance with Solar standards established in SFIS and/or written shop floor travelers.
- High level of work proficiency required in this area as well as some overtime to support demand rate.
- Candidate should be able to recognize the need for Engineering support when such procedures will not work or quality components is questioned.
- Embrace safety culture and identify safety improvements to reduce risk or injury or incident in the work area.
- Work with team members, other technicians and/or Engineering to solve technical problems.
- Successful technician will have demonstrated proficient skill with precision measuring equipment(micrometers, calipers, drop micrometers, bore micrometers, etc.), bench and hand tools, test equipment and control as overhaul environment.
- Also work in a teaming environment by attending and participating in team meetings, supporting established team business goals, adhering to team's ground rules and norms, etc.
- Excellent attendance required.
- Successful candidate will be expected to flex within the Value Stream and learn all operations/models in Rotating, Sub- Assemblies, and build to support a strategy of employee growth and "One Team" philosophy.
Summary Pay Range:
$51,674.00 - $77,510.00
