Manufacturing Supervisor
Position Overview
The Manufacturing Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Operations and is responsible for executing the Manufacturing Production Schedule to meet Service Level Objectives while defining, implementing, and maintaining standards for Safety and Quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads the manufacturing Team Leads to ensure efficient, accurate, and systematic execution of scheduled work orders daily.
- Works with the Planner/Scheduler to develop the Master Production Schedule of Capacity on Monthly basis in support of the Sales and Operations Planning Process.
- Monitors the 5s program and general condition of the facility to ensure the Safety of Solarcraft Team Members, Contractors, and Visitors.
- Ensures disciplined adherence to all company policies including Safety, Attendance, Performance, and Behavior and performs disciplinary actions as necessary up to and including termination in accordance with Solarcraft Policy.
- Regularly monitors and provides updates to management on the Production Performance Metrics such as labor efficiency/utilization and first-time pass yield.
- Develops leadership capabilities within the manufacturing Team leads.
- Attends weekly Production Meetings.
- Partners with the Manufacturing Engineer to identify and implement projects which reduce operating costs and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Develops skills and abilities of team members
- Attends weekly Production Meetings.
- Ensures all manufacturing employees complete assigned training.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Manufacturing/Assembly Facility Experience
- 3-5 Years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of mechanical/electrical engineering drawings
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills
- Lean or Six Sigma Certification
- Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes related to Amada Laser Cutting, Press Break and sheet metal fabrication preferred
- Familiarity of GD&T standards preferred
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- This position requires working in a manufacturing environment with electrical components and machinery exposure
- Standard hours are 8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods of time
