We are seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Phlebotomist to join our team as a Clinic Phlebotomist at a local healthcare site. This role involves providing high-quality care and exceptional service by performing blood collection and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture using standard techniques while adhering to proper collection and identification protocols.
- Maintain specimen integrity by employing aseptic techniques.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures to minimize risks to self and others.
- Provide an excellent patient experience, ensuring safety, quality care, and service excellence in line with organizational values.
- Comply with all professional standards, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation requirements.
- Follow Solaris Diagnostics procedures and policies, including the use of the LIMS tracking system for accurate documentation of samples and patient information.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Maintain strict adherence to attendance and dress code guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At least one year of experience interacting with patients.
- A minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for up to 8 hours as needed.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Exposure to laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids.
