We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at a local healthcare site. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality care and exceptional service while ensuring patient safety and comfort during blood collection procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture using standard techniques while strictly following collection and identification protocols.
- Ensure specimen integrity by maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Adhere to laboratory safety procedures to minimize risks for patients, colleagues, and yourself.
- Provide a positive patient experience by ensuring safety, quality care, and service excellence in alignment with organizational values.
- Maintain compliance with all professional standards, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation requirements.
- Utilize the LIMS tracking system to accurately document samples and patient information, following Solaris Diagnostics procedures and policies.
- Uphold HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Adhere to attendance and dress code policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum one year of phlebotomy experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean criminal background and ability to pass a drug screen
- Strong hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for up to 8 hours as needed.
- Ability to bend, stand or sit for extended periods.
- Exposure to laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids.
