Solaris HealthCare is now hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team!
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications:- Successful
graduation from a school giving a course of not less than two years for
physical therapist assistants, which has been approved for the educational
preparation of physical therapist assistants by the appropriate accrediting
agency recognized by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary
Accreditation or the United States Department of Education at the time of her
or his graduation and have passed to the satisfaction of the board an
examination to determine her or his fitness for practice as a physical therapist
assistant
- Must
be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a physical therapist assistant
in the state of
- Prior experience in Physical Therapy, preferred
- Member of state and national American Physical Therapy
Association, preferred
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Proficient
administrative and public relations skills
- Thorough
knowledge of the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in physical
therapy
- Thorough
knowledge of the possible hazards to patients during treatment and necessary
precautionary and remedial measures
- Ability
to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and to
obtain their cooperation in the treatment prescribed
- Ability
to establish and maintain effective relationships with the medical staff and
other personnel
- Demonstrate
emotional stability in order to cope with the demands of both patients and
employees
- Must
maintain patient and employee confidentiality
- Knowledge
of Medicare and third party reimbursement, preferred
