Job Summary:
The LPN Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day
clinical operations of a designated unit within the skilled nursing facility.
This role ensures the highest level of care is provided to residents, aligns
with regulatory standards, and supports a collaborative and positive work
environment for the nursing staff.
Job Functions:
- Provide
clinical supervision and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery
of high-quality care.
- Oversee
resident care plans, ensuring they are up-to-date and meet the individual
needs of each resident.
- Ensure
compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility
policies and procedures.
- Maintain open
and effective communication with residents, families, and staff. Address
and resolve any concerns or issues promptly.
- Ensure accurate
and timely documentation of resident care, incidents, and other pertinent
information.
- Oversee the
administration of medications and treatments, ensuring adherence to
prescribed protocols.
- Act as a first
responder in medical emergencies and manage crises effectively.
Education
Current LPN license required with
experience in long term care or working with geriatric population preferred. CPR
Certification.
Experience
- Current and
valid LPN license in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of three
years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or
management role in a skilled nursing facility.
- Graduate of an
accredited LPN program. Additional education in nursing or healthcare
administration is a plus.
- CPR/BLS
certification required.
- Compassionate,
patient-focused, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
