Solaris HealthCare is seeking a Transportation CNA to join our team!
Key Responsibilities :
- Safely operate a van to transport patients to and from various appointments and destinations.
- Aid patients as needed during boarding, transit, and disembarking from the vehicle.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of patients throughout the transportation process, including securing mobility aids and ensuring proper wheelchair restraints.
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to coordinate transportation schedules and address any special needs or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and patient information.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the safety and reliability of the transportation vehicle.
Qualifications :
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Previous experience working in a healthcare or transportation setting preferred.
- Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients and caregivers.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
