Solaris Paper is a tissue paper converting company focused on facial tissues, kitchen towels, and bath tissue. The Machine Operator ensures that production and safety procedures are always followed while production metrics are met.

Responsibilities:

· Comply with facility safety and attendance rules

· Operate asset equipment safely to support and achieve customer satisfaction

· Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials

· Responsible for on-shift quality checks

· Identify and correct issues with equipment and process operation

· Report substandard issues to the Machine Leads

· Provide Operator coverage of vacancy, and breaks & lunches

· Participate in other assigned duties to support achieving a World Class Manufacturing facility

Requirements:

Schedule: Rotating 8 and 12 hour shifts are available.

· Able to read/write English

· Ability to work in fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow procedures and adhere to safe work practices

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

· Must be able to sit, bend, stand, and walk during shift

· Must be able to stand 90% of the time

· Manufacturing experience preferred

Qualifications
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge
- Experience in manufacturing and machining processes
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Knowledge of Fanuc, CNC programming, and programmable logic controllers
- Ability to work in a manufacturing facility and follow safety protocols
- Basic understanding of GD&T and CAD software
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
