Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Pile Operator with experience in solar construction projects. This role involves operating pile driving equipment for the installation of foundation systems for solar projects. The operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining pile driving equipment on site, depending on project needs. While 1 year of experience is required, we prefer candidates with at least 3 years of experience in pile driving and solar installations.
Responsibilities:
- Pile Driving Operation: Operate pile driving equipment to install foundation piles for solar panel systems, ensuring precise and efficient installation in all types of terrain. Operate the equipment according to the site-specific requirements.
- Remote Operations: Be responsible for remote pile driving operations or equipment transportation and set-up as required, depending on the project’s scope.
- Safety Standards: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with solar project teams to ensure piles are installed according to project plans and specifications.
- Site Preparation & Equipment Maintenance: Prepare and maintain pile driving equipment, performing basic troubleshooting and ensuring the machinery is always in good working condition.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure accurate installation of foundation systems, conducting quality checks and verifying the structural integrity of piles.
- Documentation: Complete daily logs, safety reports, and equipment inspection forms, maintaining a clear record of activities on-site or remotely.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 yr of experience operating pile driving equipment, preferably in the solar industry. Preferred: At least 3 years of experience in pile driving on solar projects.
- OSHA 10
- OSHA 30 preferred but, not required
- Ability to travel 100% of the year
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Must be able to lift and move heavy materials and equipment.
- Comfort with working independently or as part of small team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
$100.00 Per Diem included along with pay, must work a full week to qualify!
