Location Note:
This position requires frequent onsite visits to our Nassau County clients, so candidates must live on Long Island, preferably in Nassau County.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on IT support, including user mailbox and group management within Microsoft 365.
- Manage Active Directory user accounts, groups, and permissions.
- Use ticketing systems such as ConnectWise Manage (or equivalent) to track and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Utilize DattoRMM (or similar remote monitoring and management tools) to ensure systems are proactively monitored and maintained.
- Leverage ITGlue (or similar documentation systems like Hudu) to maintain accurate documentation and ensure smooth troubleshooting and system management.
- Apply basic networking knowledge such as understanding TCP/IP, DNS, and how to use a network switch. If you’ve used one at home (even better!), it’ll help with understanding our clients' infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to clients across various environments, ensuring systems are running smoothly and issues are addressed promptly.
- Contribute to system deployments, upgrades, and maintenance to keep client systems up-to-date and secure.
Requirements:
- MUST live on Long Island, with a preference for Nassau County due to frequent on-site visits.
- Experience working in an MSP environment is required. We are looking for someone who has hands-on experience in providing IT support for multiple clients simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including mailbox and group management.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory (user and group management).
- Familiarity with ConnectWise Manage (or equivalent ticketing system).
- Proficient with DattoRMM or similar remote access management systems.
- Experience with ITGlue or similar documentation systems like Hudu.
- Basic networking knowledge: Know your way around TCP/IP, DNS, and network switches.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Bonus Points for:
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and more advanced network management.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues (desktops, laptops, printers, etc.).
