We are seeking an experienced full time Patient Care Coordinator who will be responsible for working with and closing recommended treatment plans for patients while providing an exemplary customer service experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify insurance for patients and understand coverages as it pertains to treatment plans
- Coordinate and manage patient treatment plans, ensuring seamless and efficient care
- Communicate treatment options, procedures, and financial arrangements with patients and families.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the practice
- Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and other team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Assist in patient consultations and provide support for implant dentistry cases
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation; Scan documents into patient charts daily
- Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Complete necessary insurance verifications either in house or collaborate with business partners to complete
- Update medical clearance tracker daily
- Actively work all reports including AR, Unscheduled treatment plans, Eligibility and other ad hoc reports
- Manage all lab communications as necessary
- Follow up on all new patient leads immediately (within 2 hours of receipt)
- Participate in morning huddles, and all routine office meetings as necessary
- Confirm patient appointments based on reminder schedule
- Answer incoming calls and make outbound calls to assist patient with various appointment inquiries
- Checks voicemails and returns calls accordingly
- Keep the front desk area clean, neat and organized
- Inventory, order placement and restocking of office items
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of two years of experience in treatment coordination
- Proven experience with implant dentistry
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with dental practice management software
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
- Bilingual a plus
SKILLS:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Some college is preferred.
- Proven experience in dental office operations and workflows, specifically treatment plan discussions
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers, vendors and employees.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office Suite and EMR experience (preferably Curve, Dentrix and/or Denticon)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once while maintaining quality work.
- Prior experience in customer service is highly desirable.
