Position Overview :
The Processing Technician is responsible for a range of duties focused on the establishment and optimization of mold-related processes. This role is crucial in determining the most efficient methods for injection molding to enhance product manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with engineering teams on the design and development of new molds.
- Conduct mold trials, samplings, and pilot runs to ensure quality.
- Establish and document injection molding processes for new molds and scientific molding opportunities.
- Provide detailed feedback to engineering on tooling performance and conditions.
- Determine labor requirements and suggest automation and auxiliary equipment to optimize costs.
- Maintain accurate machine specifications and molding process files.
- Offer leadership and training on molding applications.
- Assist production and plant managers in evaluating supervisor performance from a processing perspective.
