What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian/Bus Driver Main Street Middle School - 2024/2025 School Year position at Soledad Unified School District?
Under general supervision of the Director of Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation or designee and the direction of the School Site Principal, performs general cleaning and custodial functions at a designated site(s); responsible for assuring that assigned site location(s) is safe and secure; operates a school bus in a safe manner at all times to transport students over designated routes and to special events.
BUSDRIVER TRAINING PROGRAM:
An employee hired into a Custodian/Bus Driver position is required to enter into a training program and obtain the required license within six (6) months from the date of hire, if the employee is not already licensed. During the training program and for six (6) months following certification, a Custodian/Bus Driver shall be paid at Range 14. Upon completion of six (6) months of service as a fully trained and licensed school bus driver, the Custodian/Bus Driver shall be paid at Range 15, retroactively, according to the terms of the CSEA contract. Licenses and Certifications:
• Valid Class B-P California Operator’s License
• California Special Driver’s certificate issued every five (5) years by the California Highway Patrol
• Valid Medical DL 51 Certificate
• Valid First Aid Certificate
