ARRT Certified X-Ray Tech Travel Job in Adams, Masachusetts

Minimum 1 years imaging experience required.

Soliant Health has a new travel job opportunity in Massachusetts for all qualified x-ray techs.

This assignment takes places in northwestern Massachusetts in a small community setting. Schedule: 2p to 10:30p.

Asap start date.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform a variety of X-Ray examinations, including but not limited to: chest, abdomen, extremities, and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Prepare patients for exams, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
• Operate and maintain X-Ray equipment.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process, including monitoring vital signs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the hospital's electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
• Demonstrate proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
• Participate in continuing education to enhance knowledge and skills.
• May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Manager or Director.
• Excellent communication skills in written, verbal, and through electronic platforms (e.g., Tiger Text) are required.
• Practices infection control in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Completes annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.
• Maintains department competencies as required.
  
  

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License.
• Prior experience with various X-Ray equipment preferred.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
