Qualifications
- Valid Texas teaching certification in Early Childhood Education AND Special Education.
- Experience in early childhood special education or a similar setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping children reach their full potential.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and parents.
- Provide individualized and small group instruction for young children with special needs in a self-contained classroom setting.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for each student in collaboration with parents and other educational professionals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Monitor and assess students progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support students' development and success.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, IEPs, and other required documentation.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
