Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic skills, and social-emotional development.
- Administer and interpret a variety of standardized assessments, ensuring adherence to assessment protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to identify students' educational strengths and areas of concern.
- Analyze assessment data and provide detailed reports, including recommendations for appropriate interventions, accommodations, and individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing expertise and guidance in developing goals and objectives for students.
- Provide consultation and support to teachers and parents on implementing effective instructional strategies and interventions based on assessment findings.
- Stay updated on current research, best practices, and legal requirements related to educational assessment and special education.
- Collaborate with community agencies and resources to ensure students receive necessary support and services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, reports, and communication related to student evaluations.
- Licensed EducationalDiagnostician in the state of Texas.
- Experience conducting educational assessments and interpreting assessment data.
- Strong knowledge of assessment measures, techniques, and best practices in educational diagnosis.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to special education and student evaluation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ethical conduct and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
